XPeng announces price drop on most EV models

Beijing (ZXZC)- On January 17, Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup, XPeng, issued an official price drop on its entire product lineup, except for the G9, with a discount of up to 36,000 yuan ($5,310).

To be specific, the original price of the XPeng G3i was 168,900-201,900 yuan ($24,900-29,800), and the current price of the model dropped to 148,900-176,900 yuan ($21,970-26,100). The price of the XPeng P5 came down to 156,900-202,900 yuan ($23,150-29,940) from the original 179,900-225,900 yuan ($26,550-33,340). Meanwhile, the XPeng P7 saw a 30,000-36,000-yuan ($4,430-5,310) decline in price, which stands at 209,900-249,900 yuan ($30,980-36,880) at present. Notably, the price of XPeng’s latest model, the G9, remained unchanged. 

In addition, the first owners of cars who ordered the XPeng G3i, P5, and P7 within 2022 are eligible for such New Year rewards as an extended warranty to 10 years/200,000 km, as well as four years of complimentary basic maintenance.

XPeng is not the only automaker in China issuing a price adjustment recently. For instance, Tesla and Huawei-backed AITO both announced their price decrease plan earlier this month.
