Recent media reports from Italy have reported that Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) is interested in purchasing the Alfa-Romeo and Maserati brands from Fiat-Chrysler Automobile (FCA).
On January 31, ZGH denies the rumor in a statement, saying that “these reports are groundless and misleading. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) has no plans to purchase the above-mentioned assets and did not enter into any contact or business talks with any party. Our priority at this stage is to focus on developing our innovation capability and core competence for sustainable development, with the goal of providing our users with extraordinary experience.”
