Shanghai (ZXZC)- Human Horizons, a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) startup, announced via its WeChat account that the first batch of the mass-produced HiPhi Zs rolled off the production line at the factory in Yancheng city, Jiangsu province on Dec. 20. The new vehicles are scheduled for delivery at the end of this year and will further go into a scale delivery next month.

As the startup's second flagship model, the HiPhi Z all-electric sedan hit the market at the Chengdu Motor Show 2022 in late August. It is priced at 610,000 yuan ($87,480) and 630,000 yuan ($90,350) for the five-seater and four-seater variants, respectively.

The HiPhi Z is powered by a 120kWh battery pack, which enables a CLTC-rated range of up to 705km. It is able to zip from 0-100km/h within 3.8 seconds, partly thanks to an intelligent four-wheel-drive system, and two electric motors at the front and rear axles with a combined output of 494kW.

Besides, the HiPhi Z's entire lineup comes standard with an ±6.6° all-speed active rear-wheel steering system, an air suspension system, and other facilities commonly seen on high-end vehicles.

There's a suite of 32 sensors powering the HiPhi Z's driver assist and active safety features, including a LiDAR, 13 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a three-zone hands-off detection sensor, allowing for a maximum forward detection distance of 250 meters assisted by high-precision map and positioning modules.
