New spy shots from the upcoming Chery A2 sedan, it will debut on the Shanghai Auto Show in April and it will be launched on the Chinese car market in the first half of this year. Chery is also working on a hatchback variant.

The Chery A2 will be powered by a new Chery-developed 1.2 and 1.4 liter engines. Price of the Chery A2 will start around 70.000 yuan. The market for this kinda very cheap cars is still firmly in the hands of local Chinese automakers. The cheapest offerings from GM and Volkswagen start around 85.000 yuan.

New and better pics of the interior show a beige plastics we didn’t clearly see on earlier spy shots. Beige better than black only. All plastics still look cheap, but 50.000 yuan is cheap.
