Spy shots from the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer testing in China. The Sports Tourer (wagon) will be imported into China from April on, price will range from 320.000 yuan to 370.000 yuan. Power will come from a sporty 2.0 turbo with 220hp and 350nm.

Opel currently sells the Antara, Zafira and Astra GTC on the Chinese car market and the Mokka will follow soon. All Opels are imported,  the Opel Insignia sedan is made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture, rebadged as the Buick Regal.

The Opel Insignia Sports Tourer will be imported and thus expensive, the Opel brand is virtually unknown, and the Chinese car market isn’t very interested in wagons. The Opel Insignia Sports Tourer so sits in a miniscule segment of the market and sales will be hardly worth all the trouble.
