Through an online event, EVE Energy introduced a slew of new products and technologies. Of them, the next-generation large cylindrical battery (with a prototype unveiled at the event) features an energy density of 350Wh/kg and can complete a charging session in only 9 minutes.

In addition, the "π" battery system has its battery system decreased by 10% and features an energy density of up to 260Wh/kg on the basis of using the CTP (cell-to-pack) technology, highly efficient new-type composite materials, and new-type adhesives.

Moreover, the company said its in-house developed large cylindrical sodium-ion battery features a specific energy of up to 135Wh/kg, and a capacity retention ratio of 90% under 10C charging and 80% after 2,500 charge-discharge cycles. It adopts layered oxides and hard carbon as its cathode and anode materials, respectively, and the C4 aluminum shell as a carrier.
