Shanghai (ZXZC)- Lu Yi, former President of Dongfeng Infiniti Motor Co., Ltd, and Managing Director of Infiniti China, has been named as Executive Vice President of Audi China, directly reporting to Thomas Owsianski, President of Audi China. The appointment goes into effect from January 10.

“Mr. Lu has rich industrial experience related to marketing and sales and he will bring more vitality for Audi China,” said Thomas Owsianski, “we believe that his participation will lay a crucial foundation for Audi brand's future development in China.”

Under the Audi China 2.0 Strategy, Audi's marketing and sales businesses in this country should be operated by Audi China. The company plans to build a new team for brand communication, which will be managed by Lu Yi.

According to public records, the latest position for Lu Yi before joining Audi China is President of Dongfeng Infiniti and Managing Director of Infiniti China. From 2014 to 2015, He assumed the responsibility as President of Jaguar Land Rover China and Chery Jaguar Land Rover's joint marketing and after-sales service unit. Ever earlier, he served as BMW's deputy president for China sales. His two-decade expertise in premium automotive business management and knowledge of the Chinese market are expected to further boost the implementation of Audi's China strategy.
