Hongqi to show off intelligent cockpit dubbed “Qijing” at CES 2019
Shanghai (ZXZC)- FAW Group's premium car brand Hongqi is going to showcase a brand new intelligent cockpit at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicking off next week in Las Vegas, according to local media.
As one of fruits of R.Flag Plan – a technology development plan for Hongqi brand announced on October 30 last year, the yet-to-be-unveiled cockpit dubbed “Qijing” in Chinese will demonstrate the automaker's idea and vision about the future intelligent ecosystem and human-machine interaction domain. It is reported that the cockpit will provide users with rich travelling experience focusing on users’ vision, auditory sense, smell, tactile sense and consciousness.
As a crucial measure to implement New Hongqi Brand Strategy and a major achievement in promoting Hongqi's brand image and product competitiveness, the R.Flag Plan, standing for Rise, Future, Leading, Autonomous and Genes, is comprised of four strategic plans – iRFlag, e.Rflag, 5f.Rflag, and m.Rflag.
i.RFlag is Hongqi's technology strategy in intelligent connected vehicle. The brand is ready to introduce L3 autonomous mass-produced model in 2019 and plans to release L4 autonomous mass-produced model and L5 autonomous mass-produced model in 2020 and 2025 respectively.
Under e.RFlag plan, Hongqi's fuel cell electric vehicle (EV) will be mass produced in 2019 and an EV with a range up to 600km will be introduced next year. By 2025, the automaker will roll out 15 EV models in total.
5f.RFlag is launched to provide users with ultimate and comfortable experience by using cutting-edge technologies. In addition, m.RFlag represents Hongqi's planning in ride-sharing. Based on "smart city, smart living, smart transportation, smart car, smart mobile service and smart ecology," Hongqi is ambitious to build an intelligent mobility whole value chain and ecosystem through an exploration of innovative modes, including Hongqi mobility service system and business car 3.0 program.
