BAIC BJEV, Greater Bay Technology ally on ultra-fast charging tech R&D, charging station construction
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Beijing Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (“BAIC BJEV”), a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker backed by BAIC Group, on Feb. 16 signed an agreement with Guangzhou Greater Bay Technology Co., Ltd. (“GBT”) to carry out strategic cooperation on the R&D of ultra-fast charging technology, construction of charging network, and other businesses.
Under the agreement, the two parties will team up on the R&D and communication of the XFC (eXtreme Fast Charging) technology, product applications, and the construction of supercharging infrastructure and service network.

The duo aims to jointly deploy 200 supercharging stations by the end of 2023, and promote the construction of an ultra-fast charging ecosystem countrywide as of 2025.
Both parties will actively boost the industrialization of ultra-charging technology. They will also jointly promote and build high-power ultra-charging stations in China, boost interconnection of ultra-charging network operation platforms, and carry out the demonstration and sales business of ultra-charging stations.
The joint building of supercharging stations will help further reduce the construction cost and accelerate the deployment of power supply system, said GBT.
In addition, through exchanges and cooperation in the field of technology, BAIC BJEV will further cement its technological advantages in power electronics, especially in advanced supercharging technology, and accelerate the popularization and application of supercharging technologies, so as to bringing users a more convenient travel experience.
