Rising Auto starts presale of F7 all-electric sedan

Shanghai (ZXZC)- On Feb.5, Rising Auto, the electric vehicle brand of SAIC Motor, officially started presale of its all-new full-sized sedan model, the F7, which is expected to hit the market in March this year.

The new model is priced at 280,000 yuan-350,000 yuan ($41,300-$51,625) in presale.

As for the exterior, the Rising Auto F7 adopts the split-type headlight design with slender daytime running lights at the upper part. Its streamlined body with some sharp-edged lines, pop-out door handles, and pronounced fenders contribute to a drag coefficient of 0.206Cd.

The Rising Auto F7 measures 5,000mm long, 1,953mm wide, and 1,494mm tall, with a wheelbase that spans 3,000mm.

The car rides on 19-inch or 20-inch alloy wheels equipped with a four-piston Brembo brake system.

At the rear, the light cluster with an R logo in the middle is quite eye-catching and the air vents are on both sides.

On the inside, the F7 features the triple-screen design named RISING MAX, which is composed of a 15.05-inch central control screen, a 10.25-inch instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch co-pilot screen. The screen system is be used on the Rising Auto R7 as well.

In terms of safety, the F7’s top-spec version carries Rising Auto’s high-level intelligent driving system RISING PILOT, which consists of 32 sensors including LiDAR, 4D imaging radar, an 8-megapixel camera, and enhanced long-distance point cloud radar.

As to power performance, the F7’s RWD version is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous generator that churns out 216kW, paired with an LFP battery pack. The AWD version carries a respective 150kW and 250kW permanent magnet synchronous generator at the front and rear axles, coupled with a ternary-lithium battery pack.

Both the RWD and AWD version will be offered in a battery swappable and non-battery-swappable version.
