Shanghai (ZXZC)- Gotion High-Tech said on Feb. 1 via its WeChat account that it had been included in the supplier system of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance (“the Alliance”) by offering power batteries to eGT New Energy Automotive Co., Ltd. (“eGT”), an electric vehicle (EV) joint venture between Dongfeng Motor Group and the Alliance.

As a strategic partner of eGT, Gotion High-Tech has seen its power batteries installed onto the small-sized all-electric SUV Nami BOX Qingfeng version (“Nami” is Chinese Pinyin, meaning “nanometer”; “Qingfeng” meaning “breeze”), which was put onto the market not long ago.

The Nami BOX Qingfeng comes with three trim levels, all of which are powered by Gotion High-Tech’s LFP batteries. Notably, two of the three variants can be charged to 80% from 30% of their battery capacity within only 32 minutes using the fast-charging mode, and get a full battery electric power with a 3-hour slow-charging session.

eGT enjoys the same supplier system as other auto-making units of the Alliance. In 2021, Gotion High-Tech sailed through the quality checking by the Alliance. The Chinese battery maker said it had opportunities to build a more extensive partnership worldwide with the Alliance in the future as the latter’s quality assurance standards are also in line with the technology standards by many other regions in the world.
