Tesla so far opens 100 supercharging stations in Beijing
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Tesla has already deployed 100 supercharging stations so far in Beijing, the capital of China, the U.S. EV manufacturer announced on Tuesday via its twitter-like Sina Weibo account.
With 890 Superchargers built in Beijing, it takes only 15 minutes on average for Tesla vehicles' owners to reach a charging point in the megacity.Aside from Beijing, the automaker is also speeding up the deployment of its supercharging network in other regions in the world's largest auto market. For instance, Tesla announced at the end of July this year the launch of the 100th supercharging station in Jiangsu province.

By the end of August 2022, Tesla's charging network on the Chinese mainland has already covered more than 370 cities and regions, including 1,200+ supercharging stations, 9,000+ Superchargers, 700+ destination charging stations, as well as 1,800+ destination charging piles.
As of today, Tesla has over 35,000+ Superchargers globally. The significant 35,000th one was launched in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei province, on June 10.
Tesla has been considering and planning to open its supercharging network to other brands in the future, and is still doing technical tests in China on whether the network will be compatible and adaptable to vehicles under other brands, according to a local media channel, citing Zhang Lina, the head of Tesla's supercharging network development and operation.
