DENZA D9 hits market, starting at 329,800 yuan
Shanghai (ZXZC)- DENZA, a premium auto brand majority-owned by BYD, saw its all-new MPV model "D9" officially hit the market on August 23. Coming with seven trim levels, the DENZA D9 features a price range of 329,800 yuan to 459,800 yuan ($48,080-$67,040).
At the launch ceremony, the automaker announced that consumers who pay a deposit of 9,999 yuan ($1,460) from now on can enjoy such rights as the lifetime quality guarantee of batteries, electric motors, and electric control units, the 6-year or 150,000-km car warranty, roadside assistance, and the charging pile installation for the vehicle's first owner.
Delivery of the DENZA D9 is expected to start in September this year.

The D9's front end is quite unmistakable by adopting the massive hauberk-styled grille, which is seamlessly connected with the headlights on both sides.

The neatly designed side profile indicates a high indoor space utilization rate. The power sliding doors can be usually seen in MPV models, making passengers easier to get in or out of the vehicle.
As for the squarish rear end, a light strip stretching across the MPV's width looks exceptionally recognizable when it is turned on.
The DENZA D9 measures 5,250mm long, 1,960mm wide, and 1,920mm tall, with a wheelbase that spans 3,110mm. It will vie with such models as the Buick GL8 and GAC Toyota's Sienna.
Except for the four-seat founder edition, other variants of the D9 MPV come standard with a 2-2-3 seating layout.

As for the interior, the center console features a wraparound design with a 10.25-inch full liquid crystal dashboard and a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, which is embedded with the DENZA Link intelligent interaction system.
The DENZA D9 comes with five exterior color options and two interior color choices.The D9 is offered in both all-electric and plug-in hybrid (DM-i) power solutions. The four DM-i variants are priced between 329,800 yuan ($48,080) and 439,800 yuan ($64,120). Notably, the D9 DM-i 1040 features a combined NEDC range of up to 1,040km.

Built on BYD's e-platform 3.0, the three BEV trims are priced at 389,800 yuan ($56,830), 429,800 yuan ($62,660), and 459,800 yuan ($67,040), respectively, offering two CLTC range options—600km and 620km.
