Qoros Auto said to lose senior vice president Cai Jianjun
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Cai Jianjun, vice president of Baoneng Auto and senior vice president of Qoros Auto has reportedly left Qoros Auto after he joined the automaker on March 20. Yet, his future decision remains unknown.
Cai Jianjun joined Changan Automobile in 1998 after he completed his master degree. Before he was employed by Baoneng Auto, he has held senior positions at BAIC Motor from October 2015, presiding over the marketing business of the automaker's self-owned brands.
In December last year, Baoneng Group officially became the strategic investor of Qoros Auto who had suffered continuous loss in both profits and sales. Holding 51% stake in the latter, Baoneng Group made a commitment to supply RMB10 billion per year as capital of R&D.
Powered by Baoneng Group's investment, Qoros Auto not only gained a new management team in place, but also saw its sales performance visibly improve. For the first ten months this year, Qoros Auto witnessed its cumulative sales tremendously grew 447.9% from the previous year to 53,987 units, achieving year-on-year increase for 8 consecutive months.
Moreover, the dealership network also gets substantial advancement. Dealers partnering with Qoros Auto have exceeded 200 nationwide, according to relevant reports. Especially, new dealers for the collective contract signing in June and August totaled 81.
