NIO to start delivery of ET7s in European countries this year

Shanghai (ZXZC)- A vessel carrying dozens of NIO's ET7s has already departed for Europe this month, the Chinese NEV startup announced via its WeChat account, marking a further progress of NIO's overseas offensive.

NIO said presale and delivery of the ET7 flagship all-electric sedans would begin this year to users in such European countries as Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

The company launched the ET7 in January 2021 and announced the formal commencement of delivery in late March this year. As NIO's first model on the second-generation technology platform, NT2.0, the ET7 comes standard with over 100 configurations for comfort, safety, and smart technologies, and is equipped with the brand-new software system for the NT2.0, Banyan, which was recently upgraded to the 1.1.0 version.

The list of battery options used on the NIO ET7 includes 75 kWh, 100 kWh, and in the future will be supplemented by a 150 kWh version.

On May 6, 2021, NIO formally announced its market entry into Norway, signaling the beginning of its overseas market development cause. The first model for the Norwegian consumers, the ES8, became available for delivery from the end of September last year.

On August 15, NIO inaugurated its second battery swap station outside China, which is located in Svarthagsveien 1,1540 Vestby, Norway. The new facility also contains NIO's EV charging piles.
