Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chinese startup HOZON Auto, the owner of the new energy vehicle brand NETA, and BOE Varitronix Limited ("BOEVx") on August 1 entered into an agreement to carry out strategic cooperation in the intelligent automotive cockpit field and co-develop relevant solutions.

According to HOZON Auto's press release, the NETA S, the production vehicle model featuring both parties' cooperative efforts, hit the market on July 31. The interior of the model features a stunning advanced intelligent cockpit with a 17.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen, allowing the driver to receive important information via the minimalist display located behind the steering wheel or from the AR head-up display. Notably, the massive screen is co-developed by HOZON Auto and BOE.

As far back as 2018, HOZON Auto and BOEVx had built a stable partnership in automotive instrumental panel, console-mounted screen, and other areas related to smart cockpit. The latest move indicated that both parties’ collaboration in the intelligent cockpit domain had been further cemented.

BOEVx is an HK-listed supplier of automotive display products. In 2016, the leading Chinese display maker, BOE Group, became a major shareholder of BOEVx.

Last month, HOZON Auto topped other Chinese NEV startups by delivering 14,037 vehicles, 1,382 units of which were sold to overseas markets. By the end of July 2022, the company had sold 173,145 vehicles cumulatively.
