Shanghai (ZXZC)- Gotion High-Tech aims to raise its total power battery capacity to 100GWh by the end of 2022 and reach annual battery shipments of 40GWh this year, the Chinese battery supplier recently revealed on a Q/A investor platform.

For clarity, the aforesaid power battery production capacity target will involve those which have gone into mass production, been under construction, and will be built soon under confirmed plans.

In addition, Gotion High-Tech also disclosed on the platform that the company planned to install its semi-solid-state batteries on vehicles at the end of this year based on clients' demands.

The battery maker said its highly safe semi-solid-state battery features a single-cell energy density of 360Wh/kg. The battery pack comprised of such batteries has a capacity of 160kWh and can offer a range of over 1,000km.

For the first half of 2022, Gotion High-Tech recorded a power battery installed capacity of 5.52GWh in China, only following CATL, BYD, and CALB among battery makers in the country, according to data by the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance (CAPBIIA).

On July 28, Gotion High-Tech rang the bell at the Swiss Stock Exchange to celebrate its public listing by issuing global depositary receipts (GDRs), becoming one of the first Chinese companies listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange.
