Kill the Traffic Jam; Conquest Vehicles Knight XV launched on the China car market
Beijing’s traffic jams are a thing of the past, as the mighty Conquest Vehicles Knight XV has arrived in the capital, priced at an estimated 8 million yuan, or 1.26 million USD. Power comes from a nasty 6.8 liter V10 engine, good for 362hp and 462nm, mated to a 5-speed manual. Attack…
Curb weight is a hefty 6 ton kilo, but that includes armored protection up to level B7, the very highest for passenger vehicles, strong enough to withstand the impact of a bazooka rocket. But passengers don’t have to deal with the discomforts of a military-style vehicle, not at all, the interior loox like a palace playground.
The Knight XV is made by Conquest Vehicles from Canada. To make one takes some 4000 man-hours. The company was founded in 2008 and sells its monsters mostly to the Middle East, Russia and certain countries in Africa. Great to have it in China now, where it will compete with the evenly monstrous Dartz Kombat.
Interior a fine place to be, great design around the gear lever. Two screens on top of the center console show the imagery of camera’s at the back, which you will need, because this is a huge knight: 6000/2438/2540, wheelbase is 3886.
Two captain seats in the back. Lotta space in the back, but, me complaining, not much space left for the groceries. Need a separate armored van for that!
When killing traffic jams gets boring…
Windows can withstand machine gun fire.
The entertainment system loox like it was stolen out of a Geely. Otherwise. this Knight XV is a mighty impressive automachine!
