Shanghai (ZXZC)- On June 12, CATL's self-developed one-stop heavy-duty truck battery swap solution, QIJI Energy, was officially released, according to a post on CATL's WeChat account.

The introduction of QIJI Energy is set to provide a high-tech, standardized, and cost-effective technological blueprint for building a nationwide network of heavy-duty truck battery swapping, said the company.

The new solution includes the QIJI Swapping Electric Blocks, the QIJI Battery Swapping Station, and the QIJI Cloud Platform.

To be specific, the QIJI Swapping Electric Blocks, based on CATL's third-generation lithium iron phosphate chemistry system, has sailed through more than 200 safety and reliability tests including fire, compression, and immersion. By applying CATL's unique heat diffusion technology, mature and efficient CTP grouping technology, and 15,000-cycle long-life battery technology, it ensures user safety while reducing the cost of battery use for end-users.

Designed with standardization, modularization, and high efficiency in mind, the QIJI Battery Swapping Station has developed adaptive continuous adjustment technology, enabling one-stop swapping for different models and brands. Thanks to the chassis swapping solution, the vehicle can ensure mileage without affecting loading efficiency.

Through the modular design of the 171 kWh single-battery module, users can freely choose the number of batteries (1-3) based on different road conditions, distances, and loads, and power as needed.

In addition, the high-efficiency automatic battery swapping system can complete a swap in just a few minutes, shortening the energy replenishment time and greatly improving transportation efficiency.

Through digitization and construction of data from all battery swapping scenarios, and based on the information interaction of the vehicle, station, and battery, data is aggregated into QIJI Cloud Platform. By leveraging big data calculations, asset monitoring, intelligent scheduling, battery swapping reservations, route planning, and other functions are realized, so as to elevate operation and transportation efficiency to new heights.

The launch of the QIJI Energy one-stop battery swapping solution is of great importance to cost control, low-carbon transition, and industry upgrade of the logistics industry.

Firstly, it reduces the use cost of heavy-duty truck transportation. Relying on the long-life battery technology and efficient swapping service of QIJI Energy, in combination with the business model of separating vehicles from batteries, without considering oil price fluctuations and increasing vehicle purchase costs, the total cost of use for a heavy-duty truck driving 200,000 kilometers a year can be reduced by 30,000 yuan to 60,000 yuan, said CATL.

Secondly, it reduces the emission of carbon dioxide and atmospheric pollutants, helping China achieve the "dual carbon" goals. Taking long-distance trunk transportation as an example, the annual carbon emissions from China's 9 million heavy-duty trucks reach as high as 440 million tonnes. The application of QIJI Energy one-stop solution will effectively address the carbon emission problem brought by heavy-duty truck transportation.

Thirdly, from the electrification and intelligent swapping of heavy-duty trucks to the new energy power network, CATL will, with its technology accumulation and operation experience in new energy, join hands with partners to jointly build an energy network for electric heavy-duty trucks and jointly promote the highway transportation industry to step into a low-carbon, high-efficiency new era.
