The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version also hit market at the same time and offers two variants with a price after subsidies between RMB 249,900 and RMB 259,900. The PHEV is Volkswagen’s first plug-in hybrid electric car model in China.

The new model’s appearance adopts Volkswagen’s brand design concept and boasts a completely new front end. The radiator grille is flanked by a pair of good-looking headlights. The sleek side profile and the slight liftback influences lend the body a nice touch.
