Firefighting motorbike will hit the flames Fast in China
One of the coolest motorbikes I’ve ever seen here in Beijing. This is a very fast firefighting motorbike from the Beijing Fire Department. It comes with shiny red paint, a siren, warning lights, and 2×25 liter canisters that are filled with water and foam. Using a high-powered 30m jet hose, the mobile fire-fighting platform can put out a small fire in around 20 seconds and will run for around two to three minutes before supplies run dry.
The fire department will use the motorbikes for fast-emergency response in areas where large fire trucks cannot easily come, like Beijing’s famous ‘hutong’ alleyways. Earlier on we saw another solution for this problem in the form of a minivan-size electric fire truck. The motorbike however will be at the fire much faster. There is of course yet another way to hit the flames in the hutong; just drive straight over these old crappy houses, and China has a fine vehicle for that as well…
