The production milestone was achieved less than four years since the first vehicle was produced. Notably, it only took the startup around one year to complete the production of the second 100,000 vehicles, setting a new record for production speed among Chinese NEV startups.

NIO kicked off the scale delivery of the ET7 on March 28. In the same month, a total of 172 ET7s were registered, according to data compiled by ZXZC Auto Research Institute.

In 2022, NIO plans to roll out three production models based on the NT2.0 platform, its second-generation technology platform, namely, the ET7, the ET5, and the ES7. Moreover, the automaker is ready to launch the 2022 model of the ES8, the ES6, and the EC6, and will announce a digital cockpit upgrade plan for existing users.

It also wishes to achieve the quarterly break-even point in the fourth quarter of 2023 and become profitable in 2024.
