Both parties will make full use of respective advantages to develop electric drive system, ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), EPS (electric power steering) and other products and technologies related to energy conservation, environmental protection and intelligent connectivity.

Hu Hanjie, chairman of FAW Jiefang, a wholly owned subsidiary of FAW Group, said that FAW Jiefang aims to become a top-ranking provider of intelligent traffic and transportation solutions in China and the world. The partnership with the world-leading automotive supplier ZF Group will help FAW Jiefang fully wield its own advantages and achieve the goal earlier.

“ZF Group concentrates its self-owned technology resources on four major domains, namely, autonomous driving, electric drive system, integrated safety system as well as vehicle control. We are looking forward to helping FAW Jiefang reinforce its dominance in China's commercial vehicle industry by using our advanced technologies, reliable products and profound understanding on the market demands,” said Fredrik Staedtler, executive vice president of commercial vehicle technology division at ZF Group.
