Shanghai (ZXZC)- Xiaomi Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (“Xiaomi Auto Tech”), the second automotive company registered by the smartphone giant Xiaomi, on April 12 unveiled five vehicle-related patents.

According to the business data inquiry platform Tianyancha, the patents unveiled yesterday are related to “flat wire and electric motor”, “electric vehicle, control power supply and circuit”, “assistant module, charging assembly, control method and electric vehicle”, “adjustment method for the activation time of self-adaptive cruise control system”, and “electric drive axle and corresponding fault diagnosis method, device, and vehicle terminals”.

Xiaomi Auto Tech applied for those patents in late December 2021 and February this year. Currently, the patents are all amid the reviewing process.

Notably, the company also disclosed on April 8 an auto-related patent, which is about “the control method, devices, and readable recording medium of poly-phase generator”. It is the first patent Xiao Auto Tech unveiled to the public.

According to patent platform PatSnap, as of September 2021, Xiaomi and its affiliated companies had 951 published patent applications in the automotive domain in 126 countries/regions around the world. Among them, invention patents accounted for more than 96%, and valid and pending patents made up more than 70%. Those patents are mainly associated with the sensing, decision-making, and execution technologies for autonomous driving, and also involve the fields of smart transportation and new energy vehicle.
