Shanghai (ZXZC)- HOZON Auto, the owner of the Chinese new energy vehicle brand NETA, is ambitious to deliver 300,000 vehicles through 2023, according to a press release recently issued by the company.

In 2022, HOZON Auto delivered 152,073 vehicles in total, outselling other Chinese NEV startups. The company said it aimed to maintain its championship this year by annual deliveries.

HOZON Auto noted it would speed up the improvement of its product structure and have its production plant work at full capacity in 2023. To address the production capacity shortage for the NETA S, it plans to spend two or three months in adjusting its supply chain.

With delivery kicking off at the end of last Nov., the NETA S recorded a delivery volume of 2,003 units in Dec. 2022, its first full month for sales. The flagship model is expected to help NETA usher in the next stage of development and move upscale in brand building, according to Zhang Yong, HOZON Auto’s co-founder and CEO.

Aside from the NETA S, HOZON Auto also has another two production models for sale—the NETA V and the NETA U-II.

In the first month of this year, the company delivered 6,016 new vehicles, 25% of which were contributed by the NETA S.
