Farmer from China makes an airplane, at home
Planes are fast and they do have wheels!, here we have a brilliant piece of engineering from 58-year old Li Jingchun, a Chinese farmer from the great city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province. He build a complete airplane from scratch, with a little help from his family. The airplane stands on a specially constructed platform between Li’s house and the farm’s barn.
Li Jingchun is a self-declared ‘aircraft enthusiast’ and that I believe. He has been working on his airplane for two years and spend over 40.000 yuan, or 6.300 USD. The work ain’t far from finished though, the wings need painting, the interior needs furniture and there is no working engine yet. The plane measures 5 meters long and 1.5 meters wide. It is Li’s dream to get it airborne one day…
The master at work. His airplane is made from all sorts of scrap metal, plastic and even carton. An airplane made of recycles materials, Boeing and Airbus better pay attention!
1+1 arrangement seems possible.
Well, let’s hope Li gets her in the air!
