Dongfeng Honda to start presale of e:NS1 BEV on Mar. 18
Shanghai (ZXZC)- Presale of the Honda e:NS1, the first Honda-branded full-electric vehicle model dedicated to China, will start on March 18 via Dongfeng Honda's mini program.
Honda Motor said in October last year it would introduce the first 10 Honda-branded EV models in China, under the “e:N Series”, in the next five years. The first set of e:N Series models would go on sale in spring 2022, of which the e:NS1 is managed by Dongfeng Honda and the e:NP1 will sold by GAC Honda.

Unveiled in late October 2021, the e:NS1 looks largely the same as the e:Prototype SUV. It has revised headlight and taillight clusters, narrower daytime running lights, regular front fog lights, traditional side mirrors, regular front door handlers, and hidden rear door handlers. Fast- and slow- charging ports are located underneath the close-off grille, where a non-backlit Honda logo is in the center.
Inside, the electric SUV features a Driver Monitoring Camera (DMC), a 15.2-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and Honda Connect 3.0 with 20+ connected vehicle functions.
The vehicle measures 4,390mm long, 1,790 wide, and 1,560mm tall with a wheelbase that spans 2,610mm.
According to the information from China's MIIT, customers would be able to choose from two lithium-ion battery packs, a 53.6 kWh unit that offers a 420 km of range (CLTC) and a 68.8 kWh unit that provides 510 km of range (CLTC). The standard-range variant would have a low-output permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) that pumps out 134 kW and 310 N·m of peak torque. The long-range one would have a high-output PMSM producing 150 kW and 310 N·m.
