Chinese luxury EV brand HiPhi sells 4,237 vehicles in 2021

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Human Horizons, the Chinese startup owning the luxury EV brand HiPhi, announced on Wednesday the monthly sales of the HiPhi X, the brand's only production model for sales, hit new highs of 919 units in Dec. 2021, jumping 20.4% from the previous month.

There were 4,237 HiPhi-branded vehicles sold through 2021, 3,724 units of which were sold during July to December. The startup said the HiPhi X was honored the best-selling luxury EV model priced over 500,000 yuan ($78,600) in China by cumulative sales for the second half of 2021.

Regarding the efforts to expand sales network, HiPhi has already opened 37 HiPhi Hub experience shops across China. Besides, by the end of December 2021, the startup had deployed 155 delivery centers, service centers, and HiPhi-authorized body and paint shops in 147 cities countrywide.

In terms of the building of charging network, the company said it has to-day had access to 270,000 charging pillars covering 500 cities in China. The deployment was made in collaboration with a slew of leading charging facility operators, such as State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, TELD, Star Charge, and DiDi's EV charging service Xiaoju Chongdian.
