Shanghai (ZXZC)- In November 2021, Li Auto was credited the runner-up among Chinese NEV startups with its car insurance registrations amounting to 13,452 units, according to the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC). It was the first time for the company to achieve a monthly insurance volume of over 10,000 units.

Among car brands, it occupied the No.8 spot regarding the Nov. registrations of locally-made new energy passenger vehicles (NEPVs), which consist of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (including range-extended electric vehicles), all-electric vehicles, and fuel cell vehicles.

Li Auto saw its monthly registrations in Nov. rocket 187.7% year on year, while also shoot up 74.3% month on month.

Of all domestically-built NEPV models in China, the Li ONE, Li Auto's sole production model for sale, ranked third by Nov. registrations.

As for ownership, 11,197 and 2,255 Li ONEs were registered by private users and business users respectively in Nov.

Regarding the contribution of cities, Zhengzhou was the champion with 903 Li ONEs registered last month. Both Hangzhou and Shanghai recorded Nov. Li ONE registrations between 700 and 800 units. The other three first-tier cities—Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing—ranked 4th, 7th, and 9th respectively.

Among the top 10 cities by Nov. registrations of the Li ONE, five were provincial capitals, namely, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Xi'an.
