NIO delivers 10,489 vehicles in December

Shanghai (ZXZC)- NIO’s deliveries in December 2021 jumped 49.7% from a year ago to 10,489 vehicles while its quarterly deliveries rose 44.3% year over year to 25,034 vehicles, at the high end of its quarterly outlook (between 23,500 and 25,500), the company announced on the first day of 2022.

Its annual deliveries in 2021 more than doubled (up 109.1%) when compared with the previous year to 91,429 vehicles. As of December 31, 2021, NIO’s cumulative deliveries totaled 167,070 vehicles since its deliveries started.

In 2021, the Chinese startup unveiled two new models, the smart electric flagship sedan ET7, whose delivery is due to start from March 28 this year, and the mid-size smart electric sedan ET5, whose delivery is expected to start in September this year.

Besides, NIO also commenced its deliveries in Norway in September last year. NIO plans to introduce its products and services to Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark in 2022. Its business deployment is expected to cover over 25 countries and regions worldwide by 2025.

Last year, NIO also added 505 super charging stations and 2,598 superchargers as well as 605 battery swap stations, 160 of which were for highway. So far, NIO has 778 Power Swap stations worldwide.

In a press release, the company said that NIO’s second factory in the NeoPark in Hefei will start operation in the third quarter.
