XPeng delivers 16,000 vehicles in December

Beijing (ZXZC)- China’s smart electric vehicle XPeng achieved another record high monthly deliveries in December, the company said on Saturday.

Last month, XPeng delivered 16,000 vehicles, surpassing the record set in November, and representing an increase of 181% from a year ago. In the fourth quarter of last year, XPeng’s deliveries amounted to 41,751 vehicles, surging 222% year over year and far surpassing its quarterly outlook (between 34,500 and 36,500).

For the whole year, the company delivered 98,155 vehicles, skyrocketing 263% from a year ago. As of December 31, 2021, the company’s cumulative deliveries totaled 137,953 vehicles.

By models, deliveries of the P7 totaled 60,569 units for the whole year, accounting for 62% of the company’s annual deliveries. The P5 continued to see delivery growth after scale deliveries started in October with 5,030 delivered in December. The annual deliveries of the G3 series rose 148% in 2021 versus the previous year to 29,721. In November last year, the automaker also unveiled the G9, its first model which targets global markets from the very beginning of its development.

With the expansion of its fleet, the company also continued to enlarge its charging and sales network in China. By the end of November, 2021, XPeng had 661 branded supercharging stations across 228 cities and 311 physical retail stores in operation across 121 cities.
