China-made Jaguar E-PACE goes on sale tonight with 5 new variants
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The domestically-produced Jaguar E-PACE will hit China's market tonight. With 5 new versions, the China-made Jaguar E-PACE is about to compete with such models as the BMW X2 and the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class after entering the market.
Outwardly, the locally-produced E-PACE largely retains the sporty flavor from the existing model. Two slim headlights flank a massive intake grille. The slimness theme is also used in the taillights, echoing with the headlights.
The homemade Jaguar E-PACE measures 4,411mm in length, 1,900mm in width and 1,649mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,681mm, the same as the outgoing model.
The domestically-built E-PACE looks rather neat inside. Featuring an interior design similar to the Jaguar F-PACE, the vehicle is equipped with a three-spoke leather-covered multifunctional steering wheel. Above the large-sized center control display, the air conditioner vent is adorned by chrome trims. Reportedly, the top-spec version carries LCD (liquid crystal display) in its instrument panel and center console. Besides, the vehicle will offer 4 color schemes in the future to meet consumers' diversified demands.
As to power system, the China-made Jaguar E-PACE is outfitted with an Ingenium 2.0T with two power variants, which can generate maximum power of 250hp and 200hp respectively. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic manual transmission from ZF Group.
