Waymo said to set up wholly-owned autonomous driving subsidiary in Shanghai

Shanghai (ZXZC)- Waymo probably has set up a subsidiary in Shanghai, the latest sign of attempts by the Alphabet-owned self-driving car company to step into Chinese market.

On May 22, 2018, a company dubbed Huimo Business Consulting (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd (hereinafter referred to as Huimo) was established in Shanghai, which is wholly owned by WAYMO LLC, the Alphabet's self-driving car company that was spun out of Google, according to a filing with China's National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System.
