Car and City: October 2021 registrations of Li ONE
Shanghai (ZXZC)- In October, Li Auto was credited the runner-up among Chinese NEV startups with its car insurance registrations amounting to 7,716 units, according to the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC).
Among car brands in China, Li Auto took the No.12 spot in terms of Oct. registrations of locally-made new energy vehicles, which merely refer to all-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles (including range-extended electric vehicles), and fuel cell vehicles.
The Oct. registrations of the Li Auto surged 124.4% from the year-ago period, while also rose 5% from the previous month.

On the top 10 China-made NEV models list by Oct. insurance volume, Li ONE, Li Auto's sole model for sale, was the only one from Chinese NEV startups.
Regarding the contribution of cities, only Chengdu and Hangzhou recorded the Li ONE registrations topping 500 units last month. Meanwhile, the Li ONE insurance volume stood between 400 and 500 in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Zhengzhou.
Aside from Shanghai and Shenzhen, the other two first-tier cities, Guangzhou and Beijing, ranked 6th and 9th respectively, the same rankings as that of the previous month.
There were five provincial capitals among the top 10 cities by Oct. Li ONE registrations, namely, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, and Xi'an.
