Haima Auto completes facility building for hydrogen production, refueling
Shanghai (ZXZC)- China's Haima Automobile Group Co.,Ltd. (Haima) announced on Nov. 23 that it has completed the building of the experimental facilities used for both water electrolysis hydrogen generation and high-pressure hydrogen refueling.
The company said the milestone signified that it has already been capable of making the high-purity hydrogen dedicated to fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) and filling hydrogen tanks at a high pressure of 70MPa.

The construction of the facilities commenced in early Aug. 2021, said Haima. The project is part of the strategic cooperation formed by Haima and Beijing Aerospace Testing Technology Research Institute on April 10, 2021 for manufacturing, storage, transportation, and refueling of hydrogen.
According to Haima's announcement, the newly-completed equipment is mainly composed of the hydrogen making, hydrogen storage, and 70MPa hydrogen-refueling facilities, and can be upgraded based on future demands, the first-of-its-kind for Hainan province.
In the future, Haima plans to build a photovoltaic power station at its Haikou manufacturing base, aiming to realize “zero carbon emission” cycle involving all linkages such as solar power, water electrolysis hydrogen production, and the application of hydrogen in Haima’s third-generation FCV models.
By 2025, Haima intends to build five large-sized hydrogen refueling stations in Hainan province with both own funds and social capital.
