Geely first BMA-based SUV SX11 officially named Binyue
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The SX11, the first A-segment SUV model based on Geely Auto's brand new BMA platform (B-segment Modular Architecture), has been officially named Binyue (in Chinese), according to Geely Auto.
The Binyue adopts Geely's all-new iconic design at the front face. The ripple-shaped and star-studded intake grille matches with clean-cut headlights on the both sides, delivering a sporty sense. The C-shaped fog lights featuring the tridimensional design and the wing-shaped engine hood all make the vehicle more masculine.
The wing-type waistlines flank the model, which carries the floating roof and sectional spoiler at the rear end and looks youthfully fashion by boasting the fastback design. The Binyue measures 4,330mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,609mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,600mm.
Featuring gray & brown contrast color design inside, the new SUV model is equipped with a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel and a large-sized floating console liquid crystal display. In addition, the Binyue is also outfitted with such technical amenities as the electronic gear lever, electrical park brake as well as valet parking assistant.
As to powertrain, the Binyue carries a 1.5L three-cylinder turbocharged engine mated with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, churning a maximum power of 177hp and 255 Nm of peak torque. By virtue of such power system, the vehicle can sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
