Shanghai (ZXZC)- GAC Group reported sales of 169,752 vehicles in July, up 7.25% from a year earlier. From January to July, the group handed over 1,186,531 vehicles, representing a year-on-year growth of 5.77%.

In July, GAC Group produced 195,715 vehicles, rising 8.91% compared with the same month last year. During the past seven months, the group manufactured 1,243,315 vehicles with a 7.87% growth on an annual basis.

In July, the output of GAC Honda achieved a year-on-year growth of 10.2% to 74,486 units, while its sales reached 56,750 units, edging down 0.12% over the previous year. During the past seven months, the subsidiary's cumulative output grew 8.05% year on year to 428,198 vehicles. Cumulative sales of GAC Honda reached 395,653 units with a year-on-year growth of 4.65%.

In July, GAC Toyota achieved a year-on-year output growth of 28.88% to 54,489 units, while it posted a year-on-year sales growth of 23.16% to 51,118 units. From January to July, output and sales of GAC Toyota reached 304,300 units and 306,506 units respectively, jumping 18.84% and 17.45% on an annual basis.

For last month, GAC Motor manufactured 44,522 vehicles, increasing 2.36% over the previous year. GAC Motor posted a year-on-year sales growth of 5.1% to 40,953 units. During the first seven months, its cumulative output and sales reached 329,219 units and 40,953 units respectively with respective growth of 12.25% and 6.66% compared to the same period last year.

From January to July, the cumulative output and sales GAC Group passenger vehicle (PV) reached 1,239,303 units and 1,182,857 units respectively, up 7.6% and 5.53% year on year. Last month, the group posted PV deliveries of 168, 535 units, up 6.56% from a year ago. Its PV output reached 194,968 units with a year-on-year growth of 8.62%. 

To be specific, GAC's sedan output totaled 98,530 units in July, leaping 23.39% over the previous year. It achieved a year-on-year output growth of 17.12% to 555,300 units during the past seven months. GAC sold 85,548-unit sedan in July with a year-on-year increase of 18.1%. During the past seven months, the group's cumulative sedan sales reached 536,141 units, representing a growth of 15.29% compared to the same period last year.

Strikingly, From January to July, cumulative output and sales of MPV skyrocketed 119.31% and 104.64% over the previous year respectively to 40,769 units and 42,482 units. In July, the output and sales of MPV reached 7,997 units and 7,419 units respectively, soaring 111.34% and 108.12% year on year.

During the past seven months, SUV output and sales of GAC totaled 643,234 units and 604,234 units, dropping 2.4% and 4.86% over the previous year. For July, SUV sales reached 75,568 units, down 8.03% year on year. Moreover, GAC manufactured 88,441-unit SUV with a year-on-year decline of 7.74%.
