Shanghai (ZXZC)- The patent images and some parameters of the first model developed by Renault Brilliance Jinbei Automotive Co.,Ltd have been exposed recently.

According to the information from the MIIT, the new model, positioned as a mid-sized SUV model, will provide 3 different versions with 2 powertrain variants. The 1.5L turbocharged engine code-named BM16LD can output a maximum power of 110kW featuring fuel-consumption of 6.4L/100km. The other is the 1.6L naturally aspirated engine with power output up to 87kW and fuel consumption of 6.6L/100km.

The new model measures 4,745mm in length, 1,820mm in width and 1,780mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,780mm.

According to the exposed patent image, the new model retains the latest iconic design language of Jinbei, boasting a massive single banner-shaped intake grille and irregular-shaped headlights at its front end. Besides, the intake grille is embedded with a logo of Chinese character “Jinbei” which makes the front face unmistakable.

As to the rear end, the polygonal horizontal LED taillights on both sides seamlessly connect with a chrome trim in the middle. Currently, the company has yet to announce the date on which the new mode will hit the market.

The joint venture plans to commence operation in Shenyang, Liaoning Province and aims to deliver 150,000 units of upper medium commercial vehicles and new energy commercial vehicles annually by 2022. In addition, the company will roll out a series of new models in local market, including the Renault-branded Trafic, the Master (including BEV version) and the Jinbei-branded F70, the F50 BEV version as well as some LCV (light commercial vehicle) models under the Jinbei brand.
