These are the first official pics of the new Chevrolet Aveo sedan, made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. The Aveo sedan will be listed together with the Aveo hatchback on May 20. Price of the hatch starts around 90.000 yuan and ends around 120.000 yuan, expect prices for the sedan to be slightly higher.

Engines: 1.4 with 103hp and 131nm and a 1.6 with 117hp and 150nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed tiptronic. Chinese media by la way are all freaked up about the fact that the Aveo’s will appear in the next Transformers movie, very popular in China indeed, although the cars will carry the American-market Sonic nametag.
