Shanghai (ZXZC)- NIO Inc. (NIO) delivered 7,931 new vehicles in July 2021, representing a 124.5% year-on-year surge, the Chinese EV startup announced on Monday.

The July deliveries consisted of 1,702 all-new ES8 SUVs, 3,669 ES6 SUVs, and 2,560 EC6 coupe SUVs. Notably, the monthly deliveries of the all-new ES8 hit a record-breaking level.

For the first seven months of 2021, NIO's cumulative deliveries amounted to 49,887 vehicles, exceeding the full-year number of last year.

According to NIO, its 100kWh battery pack has been deployed to all NIO Power Swap Stations. The delivery of the 100kWh battery pack will significantly ramp up in the coming months.

The number of NIO's battery swapping stations is expected to exceed 700 by the end of this year, the startup said at the NIO Power Day 2021. Besides, there will be more than 600 stations newly deployed per year between 2022 and 2025. The company is ambitious to deploy over 4,000 battery swapping stations worldwide by 2025.

Regarding NIO's overseas business, the first batch of the NIO ES8s for delivery to Norwegian users was shipped from Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port on July 20, and is expected for preorder and delivery in September 2021. Following the ES8, NIO plans to start handing over the ET7 sedan in Norway in 2022.
