The Haima HMC6470L station car was a child of the joint venture between Hainan Automotive and Mazda, the brand name of the vehicles so became ‘HaiMa’. Mazda got out of the venture in the early 2000’s but left the factory and brandname to Hainan Automotive which still uses it until today. The HMC6470L is a full size wagon and came with two tone paint and 2.0 or 2.2 litre 4-cilinders, it was made from 1992 to 2002.

I found this one on a parking lot in Tongzhou district and it was in good shape. I am not sure how many were made but these days a HMC6470L is a very rare sight.

Found this very rare all-black machine on a used car website for 11800 rmb.

Engine from same ad.

Interior from another ad, bidding starts at 8000 rmb, and one more thing learnt: it had a 5-speed manual gearbox.
