Shanghai (ZXZC)- Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd (Changan Auto) announced that Gong Bin, Huang Zhongqiang and Luo Minggang will no longer serve as the company's vice president, according to an official personnel change statement released on May 28.

According to the statement, Gong Bin will not work in Changan Auto after he steps down as vice president. He was officially hired as the company’s vice president on April 14, 2011 and has been in charge of the production and marketing of sedan businesses. Previously, he had assumed the office of chairman, general manager in Chongqing Jialing Special Equipment Co.,Ltd, chairman and general manager in China Jialing Industrial Co.,Ltd (Group) and vice president in China South Industries Group Corporation (CSGC)'s motorcycle unit, etc.

Although Huang Zhongqiang and Luo Minggang will no longer take the position of vice president, they will still stay in Changan Auto. Huang Zhongqiang, before he became the Changan Auto's vice president, had hold posts in China Chang'an Automobile Group and Changan Suzuki.

Luo Minggang joined Changan Auto in 1995 and was appointed as vice president in 2009. During his job career, he had still served as executive vice president of Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co.,Ltd. 

None of the three former vice presidents holds shares in Changan Auto.

Changan Auto just launched its new development strategy on the eve of 2018 Auto China, involving a big products’ restructuring.

Apart from the existing Changan Passenger Vehicle (PV), the company will promote an all-new mid-to-high-end brand. Besides, the automaker officially renamed Changan commercial vehicle unit as “Oushang Cars” and its light vehicle unit as “Kaicheng Cars” which is positioned as a smart logistics CV brand, which works on improving the urban logistics efficiency.

In new energy vehicle (NEV) area, the automaker plans to complete 3 major NEV platforms by 2020 and launch a total of 21 BEVs and 12 HEVs by 2025, covering whole series from small-sized vehicle to high-performance coupe.
