GAC, Tencent Cloud step up cooperation in IoV
Shanghai (ZXZC)- GAC Automotive Engineering Institute (GAC Engineering) and Tencent Cloud inked an agreement on May 24 to conduct in-depth cooperation in some areas such as integral IoV (Internet of Vehicles) solutions and big data cloud.
Under the agreement, two companies will jointly build the new-generation GAC intelligent-connected cloud ecosystem platform based on Tencent's advantages in cloud computing, content ecosystem, platform security, AI, big data, etc.
To be specific, GAC Engineering intends to provide users with abundant services like radio broadcasting, music, video as well as mapping, relying on the Internet company's powerful social and content ecosystem.
Besides, based on the automaker's self-developed intelligent driving system, GAC Engineering worked with Tencent United Security Laboratory to proffer comprehensive services for businesses, information, and network safety and build a strong and safe vehicle network.
With regard to AI area, both parties will focus on providing users with more convenient driving experience in various human-vehicle interaction scenarios, depending on Tencent mighty merits in AI field, such as voice interaction, facial recognition, gesture identification and fatigue detection, as well as GAC Engineering's strengths in vehicle control.
In future, GAC and Tencent will utilize big data to deepen cooperation in industrial intelligent manufacturing, marketing and post-market services.
At the Tencent Cloud Summit in Guangzhou on May 23, GAC Group launched its new-generation AI mobility solution dubbed Qiyun (in Chinese) concept intelligent-connected system. On the basis of Tencent Cloud technologies and applications, the system is designed to offer more mobility services with high intelligence and convenience.
