China Telecom has already teamed up with Intel Corporation, the world-leading computer processor maker, to extend cooperation in AI-related technologies, businesses and infrastructures. Both parties jointly build the AI-driven infrastructure and data center based on the Xeon Series' (a microprocessor brand of Intel) architecture.

China Unicom also attaches high importance to its AI development. The company has formed partnership with Chinese Internet giant Baidu as early as 2016. According to recent reports, two companies will focus on building scenarios of smart home, relying on China Unicom's powerful communication technologies and channel resources.
