Presale prices of BYD Han sedan starts at 230,000 yuan
Shanghai (ZXZC)- The BYD Han, an all-new flagship sedan to BYD's “Dynasty” series, is currently available for presale with prices ranging from 230,000 yuan ($32,364) to 280,000 yuan ($39,400).
The fire new model is presently offered in four variants, three of which are merely powered by batteries (EV), featuring NEDC-rated ranges of 550km and 605km, and the other one ran on a plug-in hybrid system, namely, the DM version.

Staying true to the iconic “Dragon Face” design language, the Han adopts a slender elegant slivery trim that stretches across the entire front. The front of the Han PHEV is much more traditional and supports a large grille with horizontal slats and a set of angular headlights. By comparison, the Han EV has a sharp and sportier front fascia that is without a conventional grille and also includes a set of slimmer headlights.
As to the side profile, the two look identical but at the rear, the Han EV is differentiated from its sibling thanks to a blacked-out bumper and small diffuser.

Positioned as a mid-sized sedan, the Han measures 4,980mm long, 1,910mm wide and 1,495mm tall, and carries a wheelbase spanning 2,920mm.
The long-range version of the Han EV is powered by a single electric motor that drives the front wheels, and delivers up to 163kW and 330 N·m of torque. Equipped with BYD's latest redesigned lithium iron phosphate battery—the “blade battery”, it will have a cruising range of up to 605km, and can sprint from a standstill to 100km/h in only 3.9 seconds.

The lower-spec EV version is fitted with two electric motors at the front and rear axles with respective outputs of 163kW and 200kW, featuring a NEDC range of 550kW.
The powertrain of the Han DM combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and an 180kW permanent magnet synchronous motor. In EV-only mode, it will have a range of 81km fed by a battery pack with 13kWh capacity.
