In November 2021, the insurance registrations of the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, a mini-sized all-electric car model of SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), stood at 38,419 units, leaping 22.3% year on year, while dropping 19.7% month on month, according to the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC).

The Hongguang MINIEV was still the hottest-selling NEV model in China by Nov. insurance volume, outnumbering the runner-up Model Y by 15,000 units.

By the end of Nov. 2021, cumulative registrations of the MINIEV amounted to 425,352 units, 344,498 units of which were registered this year.

With 784 units registered, Zhengzhou, the capital of Central China's Henan province, was the No.1 city by the Nov. registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV. Zhumadian, the champion for the month of Sept. and Oct., dropped to the fourth place.

Aside from Zhengzhou and Zhumadian, Luoyang and Shangqiu, which were among the top 5 cities by Nov. registrations of Hongguang MINIEV, are also from Henan province.

On the top 20 cities list, six spots were occupied by provincial capital cities, namely, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Nanning, Chengdu, Shijiazhuang, and Hangzhou, ranking 1st, 3rd, 10th, 12th, 14th, and 15th respectively.

None of the four first-tier cities— Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen— entered the top 20 cities list last month.
