Car and City: December 2021 registrations of Li ONE
Shanghai (ZXZC)- In December 2021, Li Auto saw its monthly insurance registrations hit record highs of 14,125 units, representing a year-on-year surge of 113.3% and a month-on-month growth of 5%, according to the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC).
Among Chinese NEV startups, Li Auto was honored the runner-up by Dec. new car registrations. Meanwhile, it ranked ninth among all auto brands in China regarding Dec. insurance volume of locally-made new energy passenger vehicles (NEPVs).
As the company's only production model for sale, the Li ONE ranked sixth of all homegrown NEPV models by Dec. registrations, dropping three spots from the previous month.

As for ownership, 11,514 and 2,610 Li ONEs were registered by private users and business users respectively in Dec. 2021.
With respect to the annual performance, a total of 91,424 Li ONEs were registered last year, a 173.3% hike from a year earlier.
Regarding the contribution of cities, Hangzhou transcended Zhengzhou to the champion place with 971 Li ONEs registered last month.
Among the four first-tier cities in China, Beijing was the only one failing to entering the top 10 cities list by Dec. Li ONE registrations. Shanghai was the second runner-up, while Guangzhou and Shenzhen ranked fifth and seventh respectively.
