Per the policy paper, Guangxi will endeavor to build a comprehensive core component supply system for NEVs, wishing to see that over 70% auto parts will be sourced from local suppliers for Guangxi's auto production by 2025.

By that year, the NEV-related industrial innovation system will be further improved, enterprises' capabilities of innovation, experiment and testing will be significantly enhanced, and the core technologies about NEV R&D will reach a country's leading level. In accordance with national-level requirements for ICVs (intelligent-connected vehicles), Guangxi will possess the capabilities of simulation testing, and vehicles testing on geofenced grounds and public roads.

In the 14th five-year plan period (2021-2025), Guangxi aims to build 80,000 public charging piles and 147,000 private charging poles for the sake of a more convenient and efficient EV charging network.

By 2025, NEV parc in Guangxi will be increased by over 450,000 units compared to the level reached by the end of 2020.
