With post-subsidy prices ranging from RMB89,900 to RMB139,900, the well-received BEV model currently has nine variants on sales, offering two NEDC-rated ranges—305km and 410km, according to the automotive information platform Autohome.

Although BYD suffered a 7.39% year-on-year drop in 2019 NEV sales, the volume of the BYD Yuan EV still surged 73.4% over a year ago. With the Yuan EV535 hitting the market on March 28, 2019, the NEDC range of the entire Yuan family was increased to 410km, better solving the pain points for consumers who are more concerned about the range issue.

Targeting young consumers, the BYD Yuan posts quite a few eye-catching features in exterior. Aside from the adoption of BYD's iconic “Dragon Face”, a pair of character lines (one above the other) at the body sides highlights a dynamic essence.

The pretty face is critical to consumers’ first impression, but it still needs an “interesting soul”. Thanks to the DiLink intelligent ecological system, the Yuan EV enables drivers and passengers to enjoy multifarious content applications such as Ximalaya and iQIYI, making the journey no longer humdrum.

Apart from the enjoyment of entertainment, the intelligent system also facilitates users' operation in many other sides. For instance, a user can check the car's conditions via his mobile phones which have been connected with the in-car system, and remotely turn on the air conditioner and unlock car doors.

Moreover, BYD's unique “e” platform endows the Yuan EV with highly integrated electric drive system, so that the driving safety is correspondingly enhanced (photo source: BYD).
