Hozon Auto’s 10,000th vehicle rolls off production line

Shanghai (ZXZC)- The 10,000th vehicle of Hozon Auto in 2019 rolled off the production line at the automaker’s Tongxiang plant on 26, December. Currently, the company has two models on sale, namely the Nezha N01, a boutique all-electric SUV and the Hozon U, an emotional-tech EV SUV.   

This year saw the year-to-date Nezha N01 sales exceed 10,000 units and 1,294 units were sold in November, making it rank third by sales in the pure electric SUV segment.

The China's EV startup owns two intelligent facilities, one in Tongxiang, Zhejiang and the other in Yichun, Jiangxi. The first self-built Tongxiang factory, completed in 2018 May, has a planned annual capacity of 50,000 units with a total floor area of 96,762 square meters. The Yichun plant has started construction with a schemed capacity of 100,000 vehicles on an annual basis. It also boasts resin and PACK workshops equipped with full-automatic production system.

The Hozon U, the automaker’s second mass-made model, is available for between 150,000 and 210,000 yuan ($21,432-30,005) after subsidy. The model, based on its all-electric HPC platform, measures 4,530mm long, 1,860mm wide and 1,628mm high. It delivers a comprehensive NEDC-rated range of over 500km, while the maximum range can be up to 660km. The all-wheel-drive version can sprint from 0 to 100km in 4.9s and it takes 7s for the two-wheel-drive variant. The SUV is outfitted with transparent A-pillars to help solve the safety problem and its “small You” smart robot carried on the car can supply users with AI-based emotional services (photo source: Hozon Auto).
